Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American performer and actress, started with funny raps, which dealt with the racial and sexual identities of people. Before expanding to Hollywood her music, she came out with the rap track series. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents in Forest Hills Queens her first taste of musician life came in the form of the trumpet. In the following years, she took up traditional and hip-hop training. At college, she was studying Women's Studies and Journalism. It was also during this time that she spent some time learning Mandarin during her time in Beijing. Following graduation, she decided to pursue music as her main focus. After becoming famous via the Internet Her song My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually was included on the album she released, Yellow Ranger. The album featured other viral hits like the body-positive Queef and a winking, hometown tour NYC Bitche$. The latter song was linked directly to another project, Awkwafina's NYC guide to traveling published in the year 2015. After establishing herself as a singer and author She decided to take on acting roles. In addition to early shows such as Girl Code and Tawk she has also appeared in films such as Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap. She made her debut in 2018 with a few high profile films, including Dude Ocean's 8, as well as Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released by in Fina We Trust in June of that year.
